hunter's loss Quella's find

This buck was shot from 15 yards away with a muzzle loader from my wife's good friends husband and now a friend of mine.  After the phone interview I decided to take the call because of the close proximity of the shot and the reassurance of the hunter that his shot was good.  I was nervous after getting there and only finding a clump of hair at the hit site.  I was second guessing the hunters shot, but we took up the trail anyways.  After 150 yards or so, my dog showed me faint drops of blood and after another 150 yards or so, my dog took me down to a creek where the buck had just made it to the other side leaned up against a big downed tree with just the tips of his rack showing.
